Dynamics CRM 2011 and Internet Explorer 9 – A Matched Pair

I will have to admit, that I have been in somewhat a state of trepidation since the release of IE9 on Monday.  I tested CRM with the IE9 Release Candidate and the results were not very good at all.

But, I am ecstatic to report that CRM 2011 OnLine appears to be working fantastically with IE9.

This is VERY good news!  Additionally, IT IS SOOOO FAST!!!!

Here is a quick peek to get you excited.

So, now that I know CRM 2011 works great with IE9, I encourage you to download IE9 and give it a spin!

  1. Hi Robert,

On my computer, that CRM 2011 flash element at the top left of your blog slows my IE9 right down. When I try to scroll it lags behind very badly. Problem doesn't happen with Chrome on this computer, or IE8 on a colleague's computer.

    Are you experiencing this?

Oh and also I don't seem to be able to post a comment using my Google Account using IE9 (doing this with Chrome now)

    Cheers,
    James

  2. yes, the 2011 widget causes major scrolling problems whlie it is in the visible range with IE9 :(

I have it on my TODO list to report this to Microsoft, but have not got to it yet.

I will likly remove it when I get a moment.

I have not experienced any problems posting comments with IE9 though.

  3. It's a shame. My worry is that other flash objects will cause problems in IE9, and as such probably won't upgrade my clients yet.

    Thanks for the quick reply!
